Canucks stomp Ducks 4-1

With eight games left in the regular season the Vancouver Canucks are firing on all cylinders. Last night's 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks saw the team step up and contribute in all areas in a time where it was needed due to injury and poor play. The first line did their job with seven points between the three players. Henrik's three assists moved him into first place among the NHL's scoring leaders. The second line of Kesler, Raymond, and Grabner had 14 shots on net between the three of them. Coach Vigneault showed confidence in Mason Raymond by rewarding him with 19:03 minutes of icetime. Tanner Glass wasted no time by getting into a scrap 1:27 into the first period. Darcy Hordichuk had a busy night, he fought George Paros twice in the game. The player who stepped up the most though was in the Canucks crease. Andrew Raycroft stopped 30 of 31 shots to go 8-4-1 on the year. He has provided confidence to the team when Roberto Luongo has ben given a much needed night off.

Vancouver will fly to San Jose to face the struggling Sharks on Saturday.

Welcome to my blog

I decided to create this blog because of my passion for the Vancouver Canucks. I have many views and opinions about the organization and they have not been stronger than they are right now. I believe we are heading in the right direction and that it is only a matter of time that we see the cup come to Vancouver. Many people do not understand what it takes to win a Stanley Cup so hopefully through this blog they will get a better understanding. For the past couple years I have constantly been thinking about how great it would be to work for the Vancouver Canucks. I have come to realize that without a Law degree or a past NHL career that this blog is the closest I will get.
